This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced and commercially driven Financial Adviser to take ownership of the Financial Planning division within an established private wealth firm in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs.
If you are looking for autonomy, accountability and the ability to genuinely shape an advice business, rather than simply service one, this role warrants serious consideration.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will step into an established, revenue-generating client book and assume full end-to-end responsibility for the advice function.
This is a hands-on, senior adviser role where you will:
- Own and lead client relationships
- Manage the advice process from strategy through to implementation and documentation
- Drive new business growth
- Influence the future direction and commercial success of the division
What Makes This Different
- Established and loyal client base
- Genuine autonomy and decision-making authority
- Direct access to leadership
- Opportunity to help shape succession and long-term growth
- Future equity potential for a commercially minded adviser
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting strategic client review meetings and delivering tailored advice solutions
- Providing advice across superannuation (including SMSF), retirement planning, investments and risk strategies
- Taking a hands-on approach to strategy development and paraplanning — valuing the technical depth and craftsmanship of quality advice
- Preparing and overseeing high-quality Statements of Advice
- Generating new business through referrals, networks and existing client relationships
- Maintaining strict adherence to compliance, regulatory and advice frameworks
- Staying current with legislative and market developments
You are an experienced, technically strong and commercially aware Financial Adviser who:
- Has completed all required financial planning qualifications and is registered on the Financial Advisers Register
- Has a proven track record in delivering holistic advice
- Demonstrates strong technical capability across superannuation, SMSF, investments and regulatory requirements
- Has experience working with property as an investment strategy within SMSF (highly regarded)
- Is comfortable being hands-on in the advice preparation process
- Takes accountability for new business development and revenue growth
- Thrives in a smaller, agile environment where performance and professionalism matter
For the right individual, there is a genuine pathway to increased responsibility and potential equity participation in the business over time.
